Location: Waltham Cross
Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a well-established UKAS-accredited asbestos consultancy in their search for an experienced Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst to join their team in Waltham Cross.
This is an excellent opportunity for a dual-qualified Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst to join a respected consultancy with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality asbestos services across London, Hertfordshire, and the surrounding regions. Working across commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, and public sector properties, you’ll benefit from a varied workload, structured scheduling, and genuine long-term career progression.
THE ROLEAs an Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst, you will undertake both asbestos surveying and analytical duties across a diverse portfolio of client sites throughout London and the Home Counties.
Working independently with the support of an experienced technical team, the Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst will ensure all work is completed to the highest standard while maintaining full compliance with HSG264, HSG248, current asbestos legislation, HSE guidance, and UKAS procedures.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES*Carrying out Management and Refurbishment & Demolition (R&D) asbestos surveys in accordance with HSG264
*Undertaking air monitoring, four-stage clearances, reassurance testing, leak testing, and smoke testing in accordance with HSG248
*Conducting bulk asbestos sampling and producing accurate survey reports
*Producing accurate and compliant analytical reports
*Working across commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, and public sector properties
*Managing your own diary and workload efficiently
*Liaising professionally with clients, contractors, and internal teams
*Ensuring all work complies with current asbestos legislation, HSE guidance, and UKAS procedures
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR*BOHS P402, P403 and P404 qualifications (essential)
*Previous experience working as an Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst
*Strong understanding of HSG264, HSG248, and current asbestos legislation
*Experience working within a UKAS-accredited consultancy is desirable
*Full UK driving licence
*Excellent communication, organisational, and report-writing skills
*Professional, reliable, and quality-focused approach to work
