Full job descriptionOur client is seeking an ambitious and commercially minded Management Accountant to join their growing business. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys working in a varied role within a fast-paced environment, where they can take ownership of key financial activities and contribute to wider business success.
Working closely with the Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in providing accurate financial information, supporting business decision-making, and driving improvements across finance processes. The position offers broad exposure across multiple business interests and would suit someone who thrives in a hands-on role, enjoys problem-solving, and has the confidence to work independently whilst building strong relationships across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
*Produce timely and accurate monthly management accounts across multiple entities.
*Prepare and analyse monthly financial results
*Monitor business cash flow, preparing regular forecasts and highlighting any areas of risk or opportunity.
*Review and maintain balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring appropriate controls and accuracy are maintained.
*Oversee debtor and sales ledger reporting, supporting effective cash management and working capital performance.
*Prepare and submit statutory returns, including VAT
*Year-end financial reporting requirements, supporting the external audit process.
*Contribute to corporation tax compliance
*Partner with operational and senior management teams to investigate queries and provide financial insight.
*Identify, recommend, and implement improvements to systems, controls, and finance processes.
*Provide additional analysis, reporting, and project support
Skills & Experience
*Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
*Advanced Excel skills
*Strong attention to detail and commitment to financial accuracy.
*Experience producing management accounts and financial reporting within a busy finance environment.
*Ability to work autonomously, prioritise workload effectively, and meet deadlines.
