Hours per Week: 29.5 (Full-time equivalent; fewer hours will be considered)
Salary: £24,574.28 to £26,782.00 (pro rata from £30,822.00 to £33,591.00 per annum)
Job Type: Permanent
We are seeking a dedicated Assessor for Early Years to join our team. This role involves the delivery of learning programmes, including assessment and review of learners on apprenticeship programmes, ensuring achievement of targets within planned end dates.
Day-to-day of the role:
Deliver learning programmes, assess, and review learners on apprenticeship programmes.
Support outcomes for learners, both individually and in groups, through observation, assessment, guidance, and delivery of underpinning knowledge.
Manage progress on functional skills in association with specialist tutors.
Carry out progress reviews for apprentices in line with contractual obligations.
Provide robust advice and guidance to employers and learners, including guidance on progression opportunities.
Effectively manage the learning process to ensure all learners achieve by the planned end date.
Undertake Health & Safety checks on employers’ premises as required.
Action plan and track/record learner progress during their programme of learning in line with departmental procedures.
Update the employer management system in relation to business development activity to support the preparation of reports, forecasting, and future marketing.
Keep up to date with new products/initiatives within your sector including government, ESFA, and IfATE initiatives.
Actively participate in the recruitment of learners by promoting the department’s programmes to learners and employers.
Contribute to the success of the department by attending team meetings, complying with quality processes, and contributing to the production of the CRAE 3 and the self-assessment report.
Support effective two-way communication between learners and the Business Development Managers and those involved in enhancing the learning experience.
Work closely with other assessors and the IQA to support the department’s quality processes. Act as Internal Quality Assurer as required.
Ensure that learners’ portfolios are compliant with awarding body and EPAO quality standards.
Support the achievement of targets such as learner numbers, success, customer satisfaction, and employer engagement.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Experience in delivering learning programmes and assessing learners, particularly in Early Years.
Qualified in relevant Early Years education and training.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
Experience with Health & Safety, Safeguarding, Equality & Diversity policies.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Commitment to continuous professional development.
