An established and growing Wealth Management business is seeking an experienced Paraplanner to join its support team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual looking to develop their career within a professional and client-focused financial planning environment.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting Financial Advisers by preparing suitability reports, processing new and existing business, and delivering high-quality technical support across a range of financial planning areas, including investments, pensions, trusts, and inheritance tax planning.
This role would suit someone who is working towards, or has already achieved, the Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning and possesses strong technical knowledge alongside excellent communication and organisational skills.
Key Responsibilities
*Prepare high-quality suitability reports and recommendation documents.
*Process new and existing client business accurately and efficiently.
*Support Financial Advisers with technical research and administrative activities.
*Maintain and update client records and case management systems.
*Ensure all work is completed in line with FCA regulations, internal policies, and industry best practice.
*Conduct product and provider research where required.
*Liaise with clients, product providers, and other professional contacts.
*Utilise cashflow modelling tools to support financial planning recommendations.
*Prepare documentation for annual reviews and ongoing servicing requirements.
*Assist with pensions, investments, trusts, inheritance tax planning, protection, and other financial planning matters.
*Support compliance requirements, including anti-money laundering procedures.
*Contribute to project work and business improvement initiatives as required.
*Always act in the best interests of clients and uphold the highest professional standards.
Candidate Requirements
*Previous experience within a Paraplanning or Financial Planning support role.
*Strong understanding of pensions, investments, trusts, and inheritance tax planning.
*Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
*Professional, confident, and client-focused approach.
Desirable
*Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning or actively working towards qualification.
*Experience with cashflow modelling software.
*Knowledge of protection and equity release products.
*Experience using financial planning and back-office systems.
