Reed Education are currently recruiting for dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with additional needs in primary schools across Doncaster from September.
We are looking for individuals with previous experience supporting children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, communication and interaction difficulties, and non-verbal learners. This is a rewarding role where you will play a key part in helping children access education, develop confidence, and achieve their full potential.
The RoleAs an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
*Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with additional needs
*Support students with autism, ADHD, and communication difficulties
*Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to implement individual support strategies
*Encourage pupil engagement and participation in learning activities
*Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour management
*Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils, staff, and families
*Adapt learning activities to meet individual pupil needs
What We’re Looking For*Previous experience working with children with SEND, particularly autism and ADHD
*Experience supporting non-verbal pupils and those with communication and interaction needs
*Strong behaviour management skills
*A nurturing and patient approach
*Excellent relationship-building abilities
*Confidence supporting children across EYFS, KS1, and KS2
*Relevant childcare, education, or support work experience is desirable
