Job Description:
Full job descriptionEdenbrook are currently partnering with a leading Specialty Insurer within the Lloyd’s Market on a Head of Capital hire.
Key Responsibilities
*Lead and manage the Capital team, including resource planning, performance, and staff development.
*Oversee the maintenance, development, and validation of the internal capital model, ensuring it remains fit for purpose.
*Produce and deliver capital modelling outputs and regulatory reporting (e.g. SCR, ORSA, reserve ranges, risk distributions) within agreed deadlines.
*Collaborate with underwriting, pricing, reserving, finance, claims, reinsurance, and risk teams to support capital modelling and decision-making.
*Present capital insights and recommendations to senior leadership and governance committees.
*Maintain model documentation, governance, and change controls.
*Conduct annual peer review of best estimate reserves to ensure consistency with capital model assumptions.
Key Skills & Experience
*Strong knowledge of Lloyd’s capital requirements and regulatory processes.
*Extensive capital modelling experience, including at least 3 years in a senior role.
*Experience using Tyche capital modelling software.
*Experience presenting to Boards and senior executives.
*University degree and/or relevant professional qualification (e.g. FIA or equivalent).
