Assistant Management Accountant Essex £35,000 to £40,000

A well established premium brand with international reach is hiring an Assistant Management Accountant to join its finance team in Essex. If you’re AAT qualified or studying and want variety, responsibility and development, this one is worth a look.

You’ll work directly with the Financial Controller and get involved in the full picture, from month end and management accounts through to reconciliations, reporting and business partnering. It’s ideal for a Part Qualified or AAT Accountant who wants to build skills fast and be trusted to make an impact.
Key responsibilities
*Month end close, prepayments, accruals and journals
*Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts
*Balance Sheet and P&L reviews, bank and GL reconciliations
*Maintaining the fixed asset register
*VAT returns and tax reporting
*Supporting year end accounts, financial statements and external audit
*Driving improvements to finance processes and controls
What we’re looking for
*AAT qualified or studying, or degree qualified in Finance or Accounting
*Minimum 2 years’ experience in a finance or accounting role
*Strong understanding of accounting principles
*Experience with accounting software or ERP systems
*Confident Excel skills
*Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
