Responsibilities
*Use hand tools, grinding equipment, and polishing machines to smooth and finish metal surfaces.
*Prepare sheet metal components for assembly by removing burrs, sharp edges, and surface imperfections.
*Assist with fabrication processes including welding, assembly, and basic tooling tasks as required.
*Conduct inspections of finished parts to ensure they meet specified standards and tolerances.
*Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
*Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and accurately within deadlines.
Qualifications
*Prior experience in fabrication, grinding, welding, or similar mechanical roles is preferred.
*Knowledge of sheet metal handling and the use of hand tools and tooling is essential.
*Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations are required.
*Familiarity with assembly processes and mechanical knowledge will be advantageous.
*Strong attention to detail, organisation skills, and the ability to follow technical instructions precisely.
