About the role
We are currently recruiting compassionate, reliable and dedicated Healthcare Assistants to work across Swindon.
As a Healthcare Assistant, you will provide high-quality, person-centred care to patients and service users in a range of settings, including care homes, residential services, supported-living environments and community-based services.
This is a rewarding opportunity for experienced care professionals who are passionate about supporting others and making a positive difference in their daily lives.
Key responsibilities
Your duties may include:
*Supporting individuals with personal care, including washing, dressing and toileting
*Assisting with mobility, transfers and repositioning
*Supporting service users with meals, hydration and daily activities
*Providing companionship, reassurance and emotional support
*Monitoring and reporting changes in a service user’s health or wellbeing
*Maintaining accurate care records and daily notes
*Supporting individuals to retain their independence
*Following individual care plans, risk assessments and safeguarding procedures
*Maintaining dignity, privacy and confidentiality at all times
*Working closely with nurses, care teams, families and other healthcare professionals
*Supporting with medication where appropriately trained and authorised
Requirements
Applicants should have:
*Previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant, Care Assistant or Support Worker
*A compassionate, patient and respectful approach
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills
*The ability to work independently and as part of a team
*Reliability, flexibility and good time-management skills
*An understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality and person-centred care
*The right to work in the UK
A relevant qualification, such as an NVQ or QCF in Health and Social Care, is desirable but not essential.
A full UK driving licence may be beneficial for some assignments but is not always required.
Successful applicants will be required to complete appropriate pre-employment checks, including references and an enhanced DBS check.
