An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance Operations Manager to join a large, not-for-profit organisation. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the finance transactions function, ensuring robust financial controls, efficient processes and the delivery of a high-quality service across the organisation.


Leading the Sales Ledger, Purchase Ledger and Payroll teams, you will play a pivotal role in driving process improvements, developing high-performing teams and ensuring accurate financial reporting.


Key Responsibilities
*Lead, motivate and develop the Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Payroll teams, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and excellent customer service.
*Oversee the accurate and timely operation of sales and purchase ledgers
*Manage the end-to-end payroll function, ensuring compliance with HMRC legislation, pensions and statutory payments.
*Lead payroll year-end activities, including P60s, P11Ds and reconciliations.
*Review and improve financial transaction processes, systems and controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
*Monitor aged debtors and creditors, proactively resolving issues and improving cash collection.
*Manage cash flow and produce rolling cash flow forecasts to support financial planning.
*Support the preparation of statutory accounts and consolidated reporting.
*Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, funders, suppliers and external partners.
*Investigate and resolve complex financial queries while ensuring compliance with internal policies and financial regulations.


Essential Experience:


You will be a qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) with strong experience leading finance transaction teams within a complex organisation.


You will also have:
*Experience managing Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Payroll functions.
*Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, HMRC compliance and statutory payments.
*Proven experience driving process improvement and leading change initiatives.
*Experience of cash flow management, reconciliations and financial controls.
*Excellent leadership skills with the ability to coach and develop teams.
*Strong Excel skills with the ability to analyse and manipulate large datasets.
*Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships across the business.
*A proactive, organised approach with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
