We are seeking a dedicated ESOL Teaching Assistant to support students in ESOL classes. This role involves assisting with reading, translating, and working alongside the class lecturer to adapt work for non-English speakers.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
*Assist in the delivery of ESOL classes, focusing on supporting students with reading and translating materials.
*Collaborate with the class lecturer to adapt lesson plans and materials to suit the needs of non-English speaking students.
*Provide direct support to students, helping them understand and complete their assignments.
*Engage with students to enhance their learning experience and facilitate their participation in class activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Experience or strong interest in language teaching, particularly English as a Second or Other Language (ESOL).
*Excellent communication skills, with proficiency in English and ideally one or more other languages.
*Ability to work effectively as part of a team, supporting the lecturer and contributing to a positive learning environment.
*Patience and understanding in assisting students from diverse linguistic backgrounds.
