A leading organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Data Platform Manager to lead the delivery, optimisation and ongoing evolution of its cloud-based data platform ecosystem.
This is an excellent opportunity to lead enterprise-scale platform initiatives spanning cloud, data, integration and DevOps technologies while managing high-performing technical teams and engaging with senior business stakeholders.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for:
*Leading platform delivery, operations and service management
*Driving platform modernisation, automation and scalability initiatives
*Establishing governance, engineering standards and best practices
*Ensuring platform reliability, performance and operational excellence
*Managing critical incidents, risks and technical dependencies
*Leading Agile delivery across multiple workstreams
*Driving monitoring, observability and continuous improvement initiatives
*Providing technical leadership across data, cloud and platform technologies
*Mentoring engineers and technical leads
*Working closely with architecture, engineering and business stakeholders
Key Skills & Experience
*Experience leading Data Platform, Cloud, Integration or Platform Engineering teams
*Strong experience with modern data platform technologies, including Snowflake and/or Kafka.
*Experience with Azure, AWS or GCP
*Good knowledge of Kubernetes and containerised platforms
*Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git-based source control and automation
*Understanding of platform governance, security and operational best practices
*Experience managing enterprise-scale production environments
*Strong stakeholder engagement and leadership skills
*Experience working in Agile environments
