We are recruiting for a Temporary Marketing Assistant to support a Government organisation based in Manchester City Centre. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and organised marketing professional looking for a flexible part-time assignment.
The successful candidate will provide support across a range of marketing activities, with a particular focus on market research surrounding women’s health and wider lifestyle-related projects. The role will also involve assisting with the planning and delivery of events and stakeholder engagement activities.
Full training will be provided on-site.
Location: Manchester City Centre
Duration: Mid-August 2026 to End of November 2026 (Approx.)
Hours: 2 Days per Week - (on site) To be agreed at interview - 9am to 1700pm with 45 min lunch
Pay Rate: £13.50 per hour
Sector: Government / Public Sector
Key Responsibilities
*Conduct market research and gather insights relating to women’s health and lifestyle’s and other topics
*Support the planning, organisation and delivery of events.
*Assist with the creation and distribution of marketing materials.
*Update and maintain content across digital platforms.
*Support social media activity, particularly through LinkedIn.
*Create engaging presentations and marketing collateral using Canva and PowerPoint.
*Compile reports, research findings and administrative documentation.
*Maintain accurate records and databases.
*Provide general administrative support to the wider team.
Skills and Experience Required
*Previous experience in a marketing, communications or events support role.
*Experience supporting the organisation and delivery of events.
*Strong research and analytical skills.
*Proficient in:
*Microsoft Word
*Microsoft Excel
*Microsoft PowerPoint
*Canva
*LinkedIn
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
*Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
*Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Additional Requirements
*A DBS check will be required for this position.
*Ability to attend training and work on-site in Manchester City Centre.
*Available to commit from mid-August through to the end of November.
