Temporary Ocean Import Coordinator Required
Our client, a well-established and highly respected freight forwarding business based in Liverpool, is seeking an experienced Ocean Import Coordinator to join their busy operations team on a temporary basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for a freight forwarding professional with strong ocean import experience to join a successful and growing organisation known for delivering exceptional customer service and logistics solutions worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
*Managing ocean import shipments from origin through to final delivery
*Liaising with overseas agents, shipping lines, hauliers, and customers
*Monitoring shipment milestones and proactively updating customers
*Ensuring all import documentation is accurate and compliant
*Processing customs-related information and coordinating clearance activities
*Raising files, invoicing, and maintaining accurate operational records
*Resolving shipment issues and providing effective customer support
*Working closely with internal departments to ensure service delivery targets are met
Requirements
*Previous experience within freight forwarding, specifically ocean imports
*Strong understanding of end-to-end import processes
*Experience liaising with shipping lines, agents, and customs authorities
*Excellent communication and customer service skills
*Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously
*Good working knowledge of freight forwarding systems and Microsoft Office
*Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced logistics environment
