Location: Cambridge
Hours: 39 hours per week (Monday–Thursday 8:00am–5:00pm, Friday 8:00am–4:00pm)
Pay: £16.45
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Painter & Decorator to join one of our clients on a temporary basis for a minimum of two weeks. This role involves carrying out high-quality painting and decorating work across a varied portfolio of modern and historic buildings.
Key Responsibilities
*Prepare surfaces including sanding, filling, cleaning and priming.
*Carry out internal and external painting and decorating to a high standard.
*Apply a range of finishes including emulsions, gloss, varnishes and specialist coatings.
*Wallpapering and decorative finishes where required.
*Undertake decorating work on both modern and heritage properties, following conservation requirements where applicable.
*Work safely and maintain clean, tidy work areas at all times.
*Liaise with other trades and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Requirements
*Proven experience as a Painter & Decorator.
*Experience working on both modern and older buildings.
*Strong surface preparation and finishing skills.
*High attention to detail and pride in producing quality work.
*Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
*NVQ Level 2 in Painting & Decorating (or equivalent experience) is desirable.
*Full UK driving licence is advantageous.
*Physically fit, as the role involves manual handling and working within older buildings.
