The RoleAs a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of production machinery through planned preventative maintenance and rapid response to breakdowns. Working as part of a skilled engineering team, you will help maximise plant uptime while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities*Carry out planned preventative maintenance across production machinery.
*Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults.
*Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimise downtime.
*Fault find on PLC-controlled machinery.
*Work on conveyors, motors, pumps, gearboxes, hydraulics and pneumatics.
*Support continuous improvement projects to improve reliability and efficiency.
*Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety procedures.
*Accurately complete maintenance documentation using the CMMS.
The Ideal Candidate*Apprentice trained or hold an NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Engineering.
*Multi-skilled with both electrical and mechanical maintenance experience.
*Previous experience within a manufacturing, FMCG or production environment.
*Confident fault finding on automated machinery.
*Knowledge of PLC fault finding would be advantageous.
*Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
