Full job descriptionWe’re looking for an organised and proactive Air Export Operations Coordinator to join a busy freight forwarding team in Southampton.

Ideally, you’ll already have air export experience. However, we’re also keen to hear from freight forwarding professionals who have handled air freight as part of a multimodal role. Applications are also welcomed from capable logistics professionals who are eager to learn, develop and specialise in air exports.

The role
You’ll coordinate international air export shipments from booking through to destination, ensuring cargo moves efficiently, compliantly and on schedule.
Your responsibilities will include:
*Booking shipments with airlines and arranging collections and deliveries
*Preparing airfreight and export documentation, including HAWBs and MAWBs
*Coordinating customs clearance and ensuring shipments comply with export regulations
*Monitoring shipments and providing customers and overseas agents with regular updates
*Resolving delays and operational issues proactively
*Handling quotations, supplier costs and customer invoicing
*Supporting special cargo movements where required

What we’re looking for
*Air export, freight forwarding or relevant logistics experience
*Good organisational skills and strong attention to detail
*Confidence managing several shipments and deadlines simultaneously
*Excellent communication and customer service skills
*A proactive approach to solving problems
*A genuine willingness to learn and develop
Knowledge of CDS exports, Incoterms, dangerous goods or freight management systems would be beneficial, but isn’t essential.
