Financial Analyst
Location: Oxford (Hybrid 3 days a week on-site)
Rate: £37.01 per hour Umbrella
Contract: 6 Months
Morson are recruiting on behalf of a leading global aerospace and defence client for a Financial Analyst to join their finance team on a six-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional to support financial reporting across defence programmes while contributing to future bid campaigns within a fast-paced and highly regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities*Process payroll journals and support payroll activities
*Maintain fixed asset registers, including control and monitoring
*Prepare and submit VAT returns
*Complete balance sheet reconciliations
*Raise and manage intercompany invoices
*Support statutory audit activities and provide required documentation
*Produce Forex reporting and analysis
*Assist with month-end close activities and financial reporting
*Support financial reporting for defence projects and future bid campaigns
Essential Skills & Experience*Strong understanding of finance principles with experience in payroll, fixed asset control, invoicing and Forex reporting
*Experience preparing balance sheet reconciliations and supporting month-end processes
*Knowledge of VAT returns and statutory audit support
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills
*Strong report writing and documentation abilities
*Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
*Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively to tight deadlines
*Solid understanding of work package management and work package control
*Knowledge of risk management principles
