HOURS: Full-time, five days across seven, with Saturday and Sunday availability required
Are you an experienced Optical Assistant ready to take the next step into leadership?
Insightful Recruitment is working with an established and growing optical business to recruit an Optical Team Leader for one of its highest-performing practices.
This is a busy, two-clinic, optics-only store with an established team of approximately 5–7 people. You’ll work closely with the Practice Manager, supporting the daily operation of the store and taking charge in their absence.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is already stepping up and taking on additional responsibilities but hasn’t yet received the title, recognition or development opportunity they deserve.
THE ROLE
As Optical Team Leader, you will:
*Support the Practice Manager with the day-to-day running of the store
*Take charge of the practice in the manager’s absence
*Act as a key holder
*Help lead, support and motivate a team of approximately 5–7 employees
*Ensure team members understand their roles, responsibilities and targets
*Help both optical clinics run smoothly and efficiently
*Support the commercial performance of the store
*Maintain excellent customer service and operational standards
*Assist with staffing and rotas when required
*Support the development and performance of colleagues
*Help the practice continue building on its existing success
ABOUT YOUYou’ll already have experience working within an optical practice and will be ready to progress beyond a standard Optical Assistant position.
Previous supervisory or team leadership experience would be beneficial, but we would also welcome applications from experienced Optical Assistants who regularly step up, support their manager or take responsibility when senior colleagues are absent.
You will be:
*Experienced within an optical practice
*Confident supporting and motivating colleagues
*Comfortable taking responsibility in the Practice Manager’s absence
*Commercially aware and comfortable working towards targets
*Organised, reliable and able to use your initiative
*Comfortable working in a busy, two-clinic environment
*A strong communicator with natural leadership qualities
*Passionate about delivering excellent customer service
*Ambitious and keen to progress within a growing optical business
*Available to work both Saturdays and Sundays as part of the rota
HOURSThis is a full-time position working five days across seven.
Weekend working is an essential requirement. Candidates must be available to work both Saturdays and Sundays as part of the rota.
Store opening hours:
*Monday to Saturday: 9:00am–5:30pm
*Sunday: 10:00am–4:00pm
THE PACKAGE*£26,130 basic salary
*Approximately £3,000–£5,000 annual bonus
*OTE of approximately £29,130–£31,130
