Our client, a well-established business based on the outskirts of Norwich, is seeking a Management Accountant / Assistant Management Accountant to join their finance team on a temporary basis, with the potential for the role to become permanent for the right individual.
This opportunity is ideally suited to either:
*An Assistant Management Accountant who has supported the preparation of management accounts and is looking to take the next step in their career and gain greater exposure.
*An experienced Management Accountant who can hit the ground running and take ownership of the monthly management accounting process.
The business is open to considering candidates across a range of experience levels, with a competitive salary available depending on skills and expertise.
Key Responsibilities
*Assisting with or preparing monthly management accounts
*Producing journals, accruals and prepayments
*Conducting balance sheet reconciliations
*Supporting month-end and year-end close processes
*Analysing financial performance and investigating variances
*Preparing reports and financial information for senior management
*Assisting with budgeting and forecasting activities
*Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with internal controls
*Supporting the wider finance team with ad-hoc projects and analysis
About You
We’re keen to hear from candidates who have:
*Previous finance experience within an Assistant Management Accountant, Management Accountant, Assistant Accountant or similar role
*Experience preparing or assisting with management accounts
*Strong understanding of accruals, prepayments and journals
*Good reconciliation and analytical skills
*Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial data
*Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities
*A proactive and positive approach to problem-solving
