Job Description:
Full job descriptionAs a SEN Tutor, you will:
*Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging sessions that meet the needs of students.
*Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support to help them achieve their full potential.
*Record student progress and report on this weekly.
*Be understanding, empathetic and patient.
*Record attendance.
*Be organised, dependable and creative.
*Be calm, fair and adaptable.
About you:

*Experience working with young people in UK schools
*Background in SEN education or alternative provision- desirable but not essential
*Confident delivering Maths and English
*Empathetic, reliable, and calm under pressure
*Able to build trusting relationships and foster a love of learning
*Experience of working with young people with SEMH needs
Position - Tutor based in DT8
Contract or position start date - ASAP
Contract or position end date (if applicable) - N/A
Full time/part-time - Opportunities for both
Hours - Up to 15 Hours per week- for the right candidate, this can be increased to full time.
Essential & Desirable Qualifications:

*Minimum of 1 year of experience working within UK schools- ESSENTIAL
*Experience of working with learners with SEN/SEMH needs
To be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must:
*Hold right to work in the UK
*Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
*Provide references upon request
*Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)
