Workshop Recruitment is supporting a well-established fire and security specialist in the search for a Fire Alarm Engineer to cover sites across Kent. This is an excellent opportunity for a Fire Alarm Engineer seeking secure, long-term employment with training, career progression and a competitive benefits package.
Key Responsibilities
*Service and maintain conventional, addressable, two-wire and wireless fire alarm systems.
*Inspect and service fire extinguishers.
*Carry out servicing and maintenance of emergency lighting systems.
*Service and maintain AOV systems.
*Diagnose faults and respond to emergency call-outs.
*Complete remedial repairs where required.
*Assist with servicing of access control, CCTV and intruder alarm systems where applicable.
*Support the commissioning of fire alarm systems when required.
Skills & Knowledge Required
*Previous experience as a Fire Alarm Engineer.
*Good understanding of BS5839 and BS5266 standards.
*FIA and BAFE qualifications or accreditations are advantageous.
*Knowledge of security systems and associated regulations.
*Understanding of health and safety requirements, including asbestos awareness.
*Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
*Customer-focused with excellent communication skills.
*Positive attitude, team player and a practical, solution-focused approach.
