Job Description:
Full job description£50,000 – £65,000 per annum (DOE) + bonus up to 10% | Hale, Cheshire | Full-time | Outstanding Benefits Package
Ready to step into a role where you shape the team, not just run a caseload? Our client, an award-winning and highly respected law firm based in Hale, Cheshire, is looking for a Senior Conveyancer or Conveyancing Solicitor to play a leading role in the growth of their thriving Residential Department.
With 55+ staff and growing, a client base the envy of any city firm, and full backing from the Head of Residential, Commercial Director and MD, this is a rare opportunity to genuinely influence how a modern conveyancing practice is run — and to become the best possible version of yourself while doing it.
Why apply?
*£50,000 – £65,000 salary, dependent on experience
*Employee bonus scheme worth up to an additional 10% of your salary annually
*Healthcare package: 24/7 GP access, dental, optical and physio contributions
*Death in service cover at 4x salary, company pension and counselling service
*Pure Gym membership, monthly in-office massages, annual flu jab, eye and hearing tests
*Your birthday off work, plus 5 days’ sick leave
*Netflix, Spotify, Amazon Prime and Apple News+ subscriptions
*Pet insurance for cats and dogs — and free conveyancing
*A leadership role with real influence, reporting directly to the Head of Residential
The role
This is a senior position with three clear strands: running quality work, growing the business, and building the team around you. You will:
*Lead on high-value and complex residential transactions — freehold, leasehold, lease extensions, shared ownership, new builds and Help to Buy
*Mentor, coach and supervise junior conveyancers and legal assistants, reviewing work and driving quality and compliance
*Build lasting relationships with local estate agents, brokers and referral partners to grow referral volumes
*Work alongside the Head of Residential, Commercial Director and operational support team to improve systems, workflows and technology — making the conveyancing journey clearer, quicker and easier for clients
*Act as a key point of contact for clients, guiding them from instruction to post-completion with clarity and empathy
*Lead risk assessments on complex matters and ensure team-wide compliance with AML, GDPR and SRA regulations
About you
*A qualified Conveyancing Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer or senior conveyancer with deep experience in residential property law — registered and unregistered land, title checks, Land Registry applications and SDLT
*A confident drafter and negotiator of contracts, transfer deeds and mortgage documents
*A natural relationship-builder with estate agents and referral partners, with a track record of service excellence
*Experienced in mentoring and developing junior colleagues, with strong delegation and oversight skills
*Tech-positive: proficient with case management platforms and enthusiastic about piloting and implementing new tools
*Passionate, tenacious and transparent — someone who takes pride in delivering excellence and isn’t afraid to stand up for what they believe in
What happens next?
This is a career-defining opportunity to lead, grow and leave your mark on an ambitious, people-first firm. Interviews are being arranged now — apply today with your CV and we’ll be in touch for a confidential conversation.
All applications are treated in the strictest confidence.
