The role
You’ll play a key part in keeping residential property transactions moving smoothly — supporting fee earners with case preparation, document management and client communication. Day to day, you will:
*Draft, review and organise legal documents for residential property transactions and cases
*Conduct research on relevant laws, regulations and precedents to support case preparation
*Manage case files, ensuring all documentation is accurate, complete and up to date
*Liaise with clients, solicitors and external agencies to gather information and keep matters progressing
*Prepare reports, correspondence and schedules using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
*Maintain strict confidentiality in line with legal and regulatory standards
*Provide administrative support to keep the department running smoothly
About you
*Previous experience as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant, ideally within residential property/conveyancing (preferred)
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a client-first approach in line with Treating Customers Fairly principles
*Confident with Microsoft Office and quick to pick up new legal case management systems
*Highly organised, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and consistently meet deadlines
*Proactive, self-motivated and equally comfortable working independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
