Based: Wythenshawe
Salary: Up to £30k dependent on experience & study level + Bonus + AAT study + benefits
Whitaker Smith are exclusively partnering with an ambitious, fast-growing SME looking to appoint an Accounts Assistant in a newly created position. This is a great opportunity for someone starting out in their career who wants to work for a business with a fantastic culture who can provide a true opportunity to learn & develop within a great team. We are ideally looking for someone with at least 12 months experience in finance who is studying their AAT.
Role:
*Working closely with the Management Accountant/Finance Manager & FD supporting on finance activities
*Reviewing and reconciling bank transactions
*Cash book postings, processing purchase invoices & processing costs
*Collating data for acquisitions utilising Excel to track information
*Assisting with all aspects of finance & month end internally
*Working with wider business in a future business partnering capacity, increasing your commercial acumen
Experience:
*At least 12 months experience in a finance role and studying AAT
*Used to working in a fast paced environment, ideally from within a smaller business
*Keen to learn, develop & can work pro-actively to highlight any issues
*Keen to continue AAT studies
*Strong excel skills required
