*Job Type: Permanent (Initial 2 weeks full-time, then part-time 16 hours per week)
*Salary: £41,600 per annum pro rata (£20 per hour)
*Location: Tonbridge
*Working Arrangements: Office-based
We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to undertake a thorough review and reorganisation of our client’s accounts. The initial phase will require concentrated effort for two weeks, followed by a transition to a part-time role.
Day-to-day of the role:
Initial 2 Weeks:
*Clean up and streamline the trial balance and nominal ledger.
*Correct duplicate accounts, posting errors, and reconciliation issues.
*Rationalise nominal codes and improve trading account structures.
*Automate transaction postings to the correct accounts.
*Review and enhance banking, payment, and reconciliation processes.
*Reduce manual administration and implement robust ongoing procedures.
*Improve the processing and reconciliation of Amazon transactions.
Ongoing Role Overview:
*Manage day-to-day financial administration and bookkeeping functions.
*Handle accounts payable, reconciliations, cash flow monitoring, and maintain accurate financial records.
*Support the smooth running of the company’s financial operations and ensure timely processing of payments and receipts.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role.
*Proficiency in Xero.
*Excellent communication skills.
*Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
*Strong work ethic, adaptable, and flexible.
