Full job descriptionAn excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Plant Service Manager to join a leading national plant hire company. You’ll manage a busy workshop, overseeing the servicing, maintenance and repair of a large fleet of construction plant while leading a team of around 25 engineers and workshop staff.
The Role*Manage the day-to-day running of a busy workshop.
*Lead and develop a team of approximately 25 engineers and service staff.
*Ensure servicing, inspections, PDI’s and repairs are completed to a high standard.
*Maximise fleet availability through effective workshop planning.
*Maintain high Health & Safety and compliance standards.
*Monitor workshop performance, costs and engineer productivity.
*Work closely with the Workshop Supervisor to prioritise workloads and improve efficiency.
Requirements*Previous experience as a Plant Service Manager, Workshop Manager or similar.
*Strong background in plant hire, construction equipment or heavy plant.
*Experience managing engineering teams.
*NVQ Level 3 in Plant Maintenance, Land Based Engineering or equivalent.
*Strong organisational, leadership and communication skills.
Package*£60,000 - £65,000 basic salary.
*Company electric vehicle.
*Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 5:00pm.
*Company pension.
*Ongoing training and career progression.
*Permanent position with a leading national plant hire business.
