Job Description:
Full job descriptionAn outstanding opportunity has arisen for an experienced Financial Planner to join a well-established and highly respected wealth management firm that is entering an exciting new phase of growth following its acquisition by a major national financial planning group.
This is a rare succession planning opportunity rather than a traditional sales role. Several highly experienced Financial Planners are due to retire over the next 2-3 years, creating a structured handover of longstanding client relationships and offering genuine long-term career prospects.
From day one, you’ll inherit an established portfolio generating approximately £250,000 of recurring income, allowing you to focus on delivering exceptional advice and client service rather than spending your time generating new business. Over the following 12-18 months, you’ll work closely alongside senior advisers as they gradually transition their client relationships, with the longer-term opportunity to inherit a significantly larger client bank.
The Role
*Working alongside an experienced team of Paraplanners and Client Administrators, you will:
*Deliver holistic financial planning advice to an established portfolio of HNW clients.
*Conduct annual reviews and build long-term client relationships.
*Provide advice across pensions, investments, retirement planning, protection and tax-efficient planning.
*Identify additional planning opportunities within your existing client bank.
*Ensure all advice meets FCA and Consumer Duty requirements.
*Work collaboratively with a highly experienced technical support team, allowing you to focus on clients and advice delivery.
What’s on Offer?
*Basic salary of £50,000 with an inherited recurring income of approximately £250,000.
*Clear progression to a £70,000 basic salary as your client bank grows to around £350,000 recurring income.
*Long-term succession opportunity to inherit a substantial portfolio from retiring advisers.
*No new business targets and no expectation to generate business through cold prospecting.
*25% bonus on additional business generated from your existing clients.
*35% bonus on new clients introduced.
*Hybrid working (3 days in the office, 2 from home).
*Flexible start and finish times.
*Freedom to choose your office working days.
*Excellent administrative and Paraplanning support.
Benefits
*Annual bonus scheme.
*25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays, increasing with service.
*Birthday leave.
*Holiday purchase scheme.
*Enhanced parental leave.
*Pension scheme.
*Life assurance.
*Corporate eyecare.
*Fully funded professional qualifications and ongoing study support.
*Employee discounts and additional lifestyle benefits.
About You
*Applications are welcomed from experienced Financial Planners who:
*Hold Competent Adviser Status (CAS).
*Have experience providing holistic financial planning advice.
*Are Level 4 Diploma qualified, with those working towards Chartered status particularly encouraged to apply.
*Are passionate about delivering excellent client outcomes and developing long-term relationships.
*Live within approximately 20-25 miles of the office and are able to drive.
This is an exceptional opportunity for an adviser looking to inherit an established client bank, enjoy genuine work-life balance, and join a business with an exciting future and clear long-term career progression.
