Essex | Hybrid | Salary £35,000 - £40,000 per annum + Benefits
We’re recruiting for a Finance Accountant to join a well-established and growing business. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you’ll support the day-to-day financial operations of the company, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and strong financial controls.
Key Responsibilities
*Manage sales and purchase ledger activities
*Raise invoices and support credit control processes
*Complete bank reconciliations and cash allocations
*Prepare and submit VAT and CIS returns
*Assist with month-end reporting, accruals, prepayments and fixed assets
*Produce contract cost reports and support management accounts
*Maintain accurate financial records and support external audits
About You
*AAT qualified or studying towards ACCA, CIMA or ACA
*Previous experience in a finance or accounting role
*Knowledge of sales ledger, purchase ledger and bank reconciliations
*Experience preparing VAT and CIS returns
*Sage accounting software experience preferred
*Strong Excel skills and excellent attention to detail
