Job Description:
Full job descriptionKenneth Brian Associates are recruiting on behalf of a well established and growing company based in Croydon, who are looking to appoint an Accounts Assistant to join their friendly finance team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a solid grounding in finance who is looking to develop their career within a supportive business. The role will initially have a strong focus on Accounts Payable, whilst also providing exposure to a variety of month-end accounting tasks and offering genuine progression opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:*Processing a high volume of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
*Preparing supplier payment runs and reconciling supplier statements
*Dealing with supplier queries and maintaining strong relationships
*Assisting with bank reconciliations and cash allocation
*Supporting the month-end process, including journals, accruals and prepayments
*Assisting with balance sheet reconciliations
*Supporting the preparation of management accounts
*Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring data integrity
*Providing general finance and administrative support as required
The Ideal Candidate:*Previous experience working within an Accounts Assistant or Accounts Payable position
*Confident using accounting software and Microsoft Excel
*Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills
*A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop
*Able to manage workload effectively and meet deadlines
*Studying AAT or looking to continue developing within finance would be advantageous but is not essential
