Full job descriptionAn opportunity to join a busy and dynamic finance team with both bookkeeping and administrative tasks, including invoicing, purchase ledger management, bank reconciliations, credit control and day to day finance support. The company, a growing SME who trade internationally are based in Andover.
As Accounts assistant, your role will include the following:
*Managing the purchase ledger, including invoices and reconciling statements
*Maintain accurate financial records, including processing invoices, payments and receipts
*Assisting with bank reconciliations and VAT returns
*Processing and reconciling employee expenses and company credit cards
*Liaising with suppliers and customers to answer any accounts related queries
*Involvement with credit control duties
*Ensure compliance with financial procedures, company policies and relevant regulations
*Providing administrative support to the finance team
Required skills and qualifications:
*Experience within an accounts assistant or assistant accountant role
*Proven experience of purchase ledger, sales ledger and credit control
*Strong numeracy and attention to detail
*Strong Excel skills (intermediate level or above), and proficiency in Microsoft Office
*Excellent organisation and time management skills
*Strong communication skills to build good working relationships with clients, suppliers and colleagues
*The ability to work independently and also contribute to a collaborative team environment
