Full job description Nottingham £20-£24 per Hour (PAYE or Umbrella) Start Date: ASAP Duration: 4-5 Week Contract Monday-Friday | 9:00am-5:00pm
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Painter & Decorator to join a well-established refurbishment project based within student accommodation in Nottingham (NG11).This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for immediate work on a busy renovation programme, with the possibility of supporting additional refurbishment projects at nearby sites upon completion.
The RoleWorking as part of a refurbishment team, your duties will include:
*Internal painting and decorating works
*Preparing surfaces including filling, sanding and making good
*Emulsion and gloss application to walls, ceilings, woodwork and communal areas
*Maintaining high standards of finish and workmanship
*Working independently and alongside other trades on site
*Ensuring all works are completed safely and within project timescales
There may also be opportunities to assist at a sister accommodation site if required, with mileage expenses covered for any travel between locations.
What We’re Looking For
*Previous experience as a Painter & Decorator on refurbishment, maintenance or renovation projects
*NVQ Level 2 in Painting & Decorating (preferred but not essential)
*Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision
*Own tools beneficial
*Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering high-quality finishes
*Reliable and punctual with a positive work ethic
