We are currently recruiting for an experienced Area Tenancy Manager to join a busy Local Authority Housing Service in Wembley on a maternity cover contract through to at least March 2027.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced housing professional with a strong background in income management, tenancy management, lettings and low-level anti-social behaviour (ASB). We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running and manage a defined housing patch effectively from day one.
The Area Tenancy Manager (ATM) is responsible for the day-to-day management of a defined patch of council housing, ensuring tenancies are well managed, communities are safe, and housing services are delivered effectively.
The role is to provide a visible, accessible housing management service that supports residents, protects the Council’s housing assets, and ensures compliance with tenancy agreements and housing legislation.
Hybrid Working Initially office-based whilst training and onboarding takes place. Following this, the role will move to a hybrid working arrangement with approximately 3 days per week in the office/community.

*Day-to-Day Tenancy Management
*Low-Level Anti-Social Behaviour Cases
*Resident Engagement and Community Management
Tenancy Management
*Manage the full tenancy lifecycle from sign-up through to termination.
Income Collection & Arrears Management
*Maximise rental income across your patch.
Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB)
*Investigate reports of nuisance and low-level ASB.
Estate & Community Management
*Monitor estate conditions and identify environmental issues.
Safeguarding & Vulnerability
*Identify vulnerable residents requiring support.
Voids & Lettings
*Support the efficient turnaround of empty properties.
Legal & Compliance
*Prepare documentation for legal proceedings where required.
Essential Requirements
Full UK Driving Licence (preferred) and/or ability to drive for work purposes

Access to a vehicle for estate inspections, home visits and community-based work

In essence, the ATM is the key link between the Council and its tenants, balancing support and enforcement to ensure communities are stable, safe, and well managed.
