Salary: £32,000 to £35,000 (DOE)
Central London | Hybrid, 3 days in office, 9:00am to 6:00pm
A leading international hospitality company is recruiting a Purchase Ledger Assistant to join their growing finance team on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous purchase ledger experience who is looking to develop their career within a successful and expanding organisation.

Reporting to the Purchase Ledger Manager, you will play a key role within the purchase ledger function, ensuring supplier invoices are processed accurately and efficiently while maintaining strong financial controls. You will support invoice processing, supplier query resolution, reconciliations and month-end activities, helping to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
Responsibilities of the Purchase Ledger Assistant:
*Process supplier invoices accurately across systems including NetSuite and Coupa.
*Ensure invoices are correctly coded with appropriate cost centre allocation and VAT treatment.
*Monitor invoice queues to ensure processing deadlines and service level agreements are achieved.
*Resolve invoice matching exceptions and investigate discrepancies where possible.
*Maintain accurate supporting documentation and ensure invoices are posted to the correct accounting period and expense accounts.
*Monitor the shared Accounts Payable inbox and respond to supplier queries.
*Assist with supplier statement reconciliations and investigate aged or unmatched items.
*Escalate unresolved issues and discrepancies appropriately.
*Maintain accurate audit trails and adhere to internal controls & fraud prevention.
*Support month-end processes including invoice cut-off procedures.
Skills and experience of the Purchase Ledger Assistant:
*Previous experience within Accounts Payable, Purchase Ledger.
*Experience processing supplier invoices and resolving invoice queries.
*Experience using systems such as Coupa, NetSuite would be highly advantageous.
*Good understanding of invoice processing, coding, VAT treatment and financial controls.
*Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records.
*Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines within a fast-paced environment.
*Good Microsoft Excel – Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs and Formulas.
