Full job descriptionTemporary Cleaner / Handyperson – Aviation Environment£14.00 – £14.50 per hour | Full-time | 4–6 week temporary assignment
We are looking for a reliable and practical Cleaner / Handyperson to join an established engineering team within a busy aviation hangar. This isn’t a standard cleaning role – you’ll work alongside engineers, helping to keep the hangar safe, clean and operational while providing general hands-on support.
Hours: Monday–Thursday, 8:00am–4:00pm and Friday, 8:00am–3:30pm
Pay: £14.00–£14.50 per hour
Duration: Initially 4–6 weeks
Start: ASAP
Duties will include general hangar cleaning and waste disposal, supporting the engineering maintenance team, rinsing aircraft, replenishing equipment and trolleys, minor maintenance of ground support equipment and occasional local driving/collection duties.
We’re looking for someone who is hands-on, reliable, safety-conscious and happy working as part of a team. Some basic mechanical knowledge would be useful, along with the ability to operate a forklift or willingness to be trained.
