Hours: Tuesday to Saturday, 8:45am - 5:15pm (42.5 hours per week)
Location: Alresford, Hampshire
Salary: Up to £35,000 DOE

We’re recruiting for an enthusiastic and hands-on Assistant Store Manager to join a thriving independent retail destination. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a beautiful retail environment where customer experience is at the heart of everything you do.
Working closely with the Store Manager, you’ll play a key role in the day-to-day operation of a large retail space, leading by example, supporting the team and ensuring every customer receives outstanding service.
You’ll be responsible for:
*Supporting the Store Manager with the smooth day-to-day running of the store.
*Leading, motivating and developing the retail team.
*Delivering exceptional customer service and confidently resolving customer queries.
*Opening and closing the store, including cash handling and till procedures.
*Maintaining high visual merchandising and presentation standards.
*Supporting stock replenishment and ensuring products are accurately displayed and priced.
*Assisting with staff training, rotas and operational planning.
*Ensuring health & safety standards are maintained across the store.
We’re looking for someone who:
*Has at least 2-3 years’ experience in a retail supervisor or Assistant Manager role.
*Loves delivering outstanding customer service.
*Is confident leading a team and supporting colleagues.
*Has excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
*Enjoys being on the shop floor and leading by example.
*Is physically fit and happy to spend the day on their feet in a large retail environment, with regular trips to the downstairs stockroom.
*Thrives in a busy environment and can confidently deal with a wide range of customers, always remaining professional and courteous.
