FryerMiles are delighted to be working with a Major Defence Prime to assist with their recruitment of multiple WINTEL Engineers to join a large Defence programme, supporting the delivery and integration of secure Windows and Intel-based enterprise infrastructure. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a highly secure environment, helping to deliver critical national security capabilities.
Working as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team, you will be responsible for integrating, configuring and supporting WINTEL platforms, ensuring they meet operational, security and performance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
*Integrate WINTEL platforms into secure enterprise environments.
*Deploy, configure and support Windows Server infrastructure.
*Work closely with infrastructure, network, security and project teams to deliver integrated technical solutions.
*Produce and maintain high-quality technical documentation, including design documents, configuration guides and governance artefacts.
*Support platform implementation, upgrades, patching and ongoing operational maintenance.
*Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and provide effective technical resolutions.
*Ensure all work is completed in accordance with programme governance, security standards and best practices.
Essential Skills & Experience
*Active DV (Developed Vetting) Clearance – essential.
*Proven experience as a WINTEL Engineer or Infrastructure Engineer within Defence, Government or other highly secure environments.
*Strong experience with:
o Windows Server
o Active Directory
o Enterprise Microsoft infrastructure
*Experience integrating infrastructure into complex enterprise environments.
*Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
*Excellent documentation and communication skills.
Desirable Skills
*Experience working on Defence or National Security programmes.
*Knowledge of virtualisation technologies such as VMware.
*Experience with enterprise backup and storage platforms.
*Familiarity with Microsoft security technologies and infrastructure hardening.
*Understanding of ITIL processes and change management.
Please note: Due to the nature of this programme, applicants must hold active DV (Developed Vetting) Security Clearance and be eligible to work within the UK Defence sector.
