A friendly and inclusive primary school in Wandsworth is looking to appoint a dedicated KS1 Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026. This full-time, long-term opportunity is perfect for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced Teaching Assistants who are eager to make a positive impact on children’s learning and development.
Working alongside experienced teachers, you will play an important role in supporting pupils both inside and outside the classroom, helping to build their confidence, develop key skills, and foster a lifelong love of learning.
The Role
As a KS1 Teaching Assistant, you will:
*Support pupils across Key Stage 1 in whole-class lessons
*Deliver one-to-one and small group interventions
*Help develop children’s literacy, numeracy and communication skills
*Encourage positive behaviour and active engagement in learning
*Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to create an inclusive learning environment
About You
The successful candidate will:
*Have a genuine passion for working with primary-aged children
*Be enthusiastic, caring and patient
*Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
*Be confident working as part of a team
*Be committed to supporting children’s learning and wellbeing
*Have previous school or childcare experience (desirable but not essential)
