Full job descriptionSchool Administrator – BirminghamLocation: Birmingham
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm
Contract: Full-time, Temporary with the potential to become permanent
Start Date: ASAP
The Supply Register is recruiting on behalf of our partner schools in Birmingham for an experienced and professional School Administrator.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an organised, proactive individual who enjoys working in a busy school environment and is committed to providing excellent administrative support to staff, pupils and parents.
Key Responsibilities*Providing administrative support to the school office and senior leadership team.
*Managing the reception area and acting as the first point of contact for visitors, parents and staff.
*Answering telephone calls and responding to emails professionally.
*Maintaining accurate pupil records and updating school databases.
*Processing attendance and admissions information.
*Supporting with correspondence, filing, photocopying and general office administration.
*Assisting with school events and other administrative duties as required.
The Ideal Candidate*Previous experience working within a school office is highly desirable.
*Experience using school management systems such as SIMS, Arbor, Bromcom or similar is advantageous.
*Excellent organisational and communication skills.
*Confident using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
*Able to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
*Friendly, professional and able to manage a busy workload.
Essential Compliance RequirementsAs this role is within a school, successful applicants must be able to:
*Provide a full employment history covering the last 24 months.
*Provide a minimum of two employment references (three if you have not previously worked with children).
*Complete an Employment History Form covering every month from leaving full-time education.
*Provide character references where required to cover any gaps in employment.
*Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.
*Provide proof of right to work in the UK.
*Provide two proofs of address, proof of National Insurance and any relevant name change documentation.
*Complete our free mandatory safeguarding and compliance training.
