We are partnering with a well-established organisation to recruit an Accounts Assistant to join their busy and supportive finance team.
This role is offering a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working autonomously, taking ownership of their workload, and contributing to a high-performing finance function.
You will support the Financial Controller and wider team in delivering accurate and timely financial operations across multiple entities.
Key Responsibilities
*End-to-end payroll processing within a manufacturing environment
*Preparation and submission of VAT returns
*Managing petty cash
*Project invoicing, including reverse charge VAT
*Processing bank payments and completing reconciliations
*Supporting Purchase Ledger as required
*Producing financial reports and assisting with management reporting
*Supporting tax compliance, including overseas turnover reporting
*Managing multi-currency transactions across international entities
About You
*Previous experience in a similar Accounts Assistant role
*Strong knowledge of payroll, VAT, and bank reconciliations
*Experience handling multi-currency transactions
*Confident working independently and managing your own workload
*Strong Excel skills (particularly within manual VAT/tax processes)
*Experience with Sage 50 (desirable)
*AAT qualified or studying (advantageous)
