Full job descriptionThis Commercial Legal Adviser role in the business services industry will see you handling a variety of legal matters to support the smooth running of operations. It’s a permanent position where you’ll play a key part in ensuring compliance and managing commercial contracts.

Our Client is recruiting for a role within the business services industry in Birmingham.
Description
Reporting to the Head of Legal Services, you will provide legal and administrative support across a broad range of contractual matters. Key responsibilities include:
*Managing a varied caseload of low to medium complexity contractual matters.
*Advising internal stakeholders on contractual obligations, risks and compliance requirements.
*Identifying legal and commercial risks and recommending practical mitigation strategies.
*Liaising with internal departments and external organisations to obtain information and progress legal matters.
*Maintaining accurate contract records and supporting contract life cycle management processes.
*Coordinating contract execution processes and ensuring appropriate approvals are obtained.
*Providing administrative and operational support to the wider Legal Services team.
*Assisting senior legal colleagues with meetings, note-taking and project-based work where required.
Profile
The ideal candidate will have:
*Experience reviewing, drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
*A legal qualification, law degree, paralegal background or equivalent relevant experience is desirable.
*Experience within an in-house legal team, professional services environment or regulated organisation would be advantageous.
*Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
*Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to contract administration.
*Knowledge of contractual risk identification and practical risk mitigation.
*Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
*Strong stakeholder management skills with the confidence to engage at all levels.
*The ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team.

*Salary ranging from £31,500 to £38,500, dependent on the level of experience.
