Reed Education is working with a welcoming secondary school to recruit a reliable and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join their team from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Cover Supervisors, graduates considering a career in teaching, or experienced supply teachers looking for a rewarding role within a supportive school environment.
We Are Looking For:
*Previous experience working in a school setting as a Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant, or Supply Teacher is desirable
*Excellent classroom management and behaviour management skills
*Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
*Confidence leading a classroom and supervising students across KS3 and KS4
*A positive and adaptable approach to working within different departments
*Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
*The ability to follow lesson plans and ensure students remain engaged in learning
*A flexible and professional attitude
The Role
*Supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff
*Deliver pre-planned lessons and learning activities provided by teaching staff
*Maintain a positive and focused learning environment
*Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
*Support students in completing set work and achieving lesson objectives
*Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding student progress and behaviour
*Work across a variety of subject areas as required by the school
*Support the wider school community and uphold school standards
