Full job descriptionOur Client, Bolton Council, is seeking a Team Manager to join their Children’s Safeguarding Team.

Responsibilities of this role:
*Providing supervision, support, and direction to social workers.
*Managing safeguarding referrals and ensuring timely risk assessments.
*Overseeing child or adult protection investigations.
*Making decisions on complex and high-risk cases.
*Ensuring compliance with safeguarding legislation, policies, and procedures.
*Chairing or contributing to strategy meetings, case conferences, and reviews.
*Monitoring caseloads, performance, and quality of practice.
*Supporting staff development, training, and wellbeing.
*Working with partner agencies such as police, health services, education, and housing.
*Maintaining accurate records and ensuring reports are completed to required standards.
*Escalating safeguarding concerns and managing risk appropriately.
*Contributing to audits, inspections, and service improvement initiatives.
Requirements of this role:
*Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
*Must have a Social Work qualification (Diploma in social work, social work degree or equivalent)
*Must have minimum of 3 years experience working as a Qualified social worker in a similar team
