Our client is looking for a proactive and organised Site Stores Assistant to support the day-to-day operation of our busy site stores function near Knaresborough.
In this hands-on role, you’ll help ensure our engineering and operational teams have the tools, spare parts and materials they need to keep one of the UK’s leading waste recovery facilities running safely and efficiently.
Key responsibilities:
*Receiving and booking in deliveries
*Managing stock and inventory records
*Issuing tools, consumables and spare parts
*Conducting stock checks and stocktakes
*Supporting maintenance planning activities
*Maintaining a safe, organised and compliant stores environment
What we’re looking for:
*Previous experience in a stores, warehouse, inventory or stock control role
*Experience using inventory management systems
*Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
*Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
*Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Desirable:
*Forklift truck licence
*Knowledge of mechanical or electrical components
*Experience within an industrial, manufacturing, engineering or regulated environment
This is a Full time role on a temporary contract basis.
