Now we’re looking for a Safeguarding Governor to join our Local Governing Board in Buckinghamshire, who share our belief that every young person deserves the chance to thrive.

About the roleAbout the Role :
*As our Safeguarding Governor, you will
*Be committed to the safeguarding and wellbeing of children, equality, inclusion and diversity
*Act as the link between the governing body and the school’s safeguarding work
*Provide strategic oversight and constructive challenge
*Ensure safeguarding remains a priority.
Key Responsibilities :
*Meeting termly with the Designated Safeguarding Leads
*Monitor the effectiveness of safeguarding policies and procedures
*Report safeguarding updates to the governing board
*Ensure safer recruitment practices are followed
*Review data, trends, audits and action plans
*Visit the schools to understand the context and the safeguarding culture and practice
*Support the governors to fulfil their statutory safeguarding responsibilities
*Ensure pupil voice

Experience in education, safeguarding, social care, or governance is helpful but not essential.
