Tree Inspector
37 hours per week
Fixed Term - 12 month contract
Working within the Tree and Woodland Team, part of the County Council’s Countryside and Green Spaces Team, we are looking for a Tree Inspector to conduct systematic inspections of the County Council’s trees and woodlands and identifying works required.
In this role you will:
*Conduct proactive inspections of County Council trees.
*Identify works required to remove any issues compromising public safety.
*Provide works requests for Council Tree Teams or outside arboricultural contractors.
*Keep accurate records and provide reports and updates on progress.
REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB
*Professional Tree Inspection Certificate (LANTRA or equivalent).
*Certificate in Arboriculture L4 (or other equivalent Arboricultural or Horticultural qualification)
*Good knowledge of tree identification, pest and diseases, tree biology, and tree hazard assessment.
*Knowledge of industry standard arboricultural risk standards such as, Quantified Tree Risk Assessment (QTRA), Tree Hazard: Risk Evaluation and Treatment System (THREATS).
*Valid UK Driving Licence
*Experience of conducting inspections of trees and woodlands.
Experience of providing detailed records and reports.
*Experience of providing instructions for arboricultural works.
*Ability to manage own workload, working independently at sites across Northumberland.
