Job IntroductionPackage DescriptionAs a Bank Catering Assistant within HCRG Care Group, you’ll be part of a supportive and friendly catering team helping to provide high quality meals and refreshments to patients, staff and visitors at Sheppey Community Hospital.

About the RoleWe are looking for a reliable and customer-focused Catering Assistant to join our busy Hospital Catering Team on a bank basis.
You will play an important role in supporting patient wellbeing by helping deliver high quality food and refreshments within a safe, hygienic and caring environment. The role will support both patient catering services and the hospital restaurant.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys working as part of a team, takes pride in delivering excellent service and can work efficiently within a busy environment.
Main Responsibilities*Prepare and serve food and beverages to patients, staff and visitors
*Deliver patient meals accurately, professionally and courteously
*Assist with basic food preparation and stock rotation
*Maintain cleanliness within kitchen, dining and service areas
*Follow food safety, hygiene and infection prevention procedures at all times
*Operate catering equipment safely and responsibly
*Support the catering team during busy service periods
*Wash utensils, trays and kitchen equipment
*Ensure dietary requirements and allergen procedures are followed correctly

*Flexible availability to work shifts, weekends and bank holidays
*Good awareness of cleanliness and food hygiene standards
Desirable:
*Previous catering, kitchen or hospitality experience
*Food Hygiene Level 2 qualification
*Experience working within healthcare or large-scale catering environments
