We are looking for an administrative officer to join our Mental Health Support Teams (MHST) in East Herts to provide comprehensive administrative support to our Teams. We currently have a Part-time post available for 22.5 hours per week.
Office working is required as well as travel to some bases.

Main duties of the jobYou will co-ordinate information and provide administration and clerical support in order to facilitate the effective running of the service. This will include diary management, comprehensive management of data such as annual leave, sickness and attendance reports on behalf of the Team, filing, and ensuring maximum efficiency of processes. It is essential that you have GCSE in English Language and Mathematics Grade C or above or equivalent.

Detailed job description and main responsibilitiesYou will be proficient in the use of a wide range of IT packages, have experience of organising and prioritising diaries and schedules, and experience of organising and taking minutes in meetings. You will have good communication and organisational skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision and on your own initiative to achieve deadlines.
Person specificationQualifcations Education & TrainingEssential criteria*Educated to Secondary Level with GCSE Maths and English level 2 or above
*Experience of working in an office environment
*Experience co-ordinating team administrative tasks
Desirable criteria*Experience in healthcare/education setting
*Knowledge of healthcare terms used in their day to day working
*ECDL qualification
*NVQ3/RSA3 or equivalent experience
COMMUNICATION SKILLSEssential criteria*Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills in person, on telephone, and electronically.
*To be experienced in dealing with people in distress in a calm and confident manner, using deescalation skills where appropriate
*To have proven skills and experience establishing effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
ANALYTICAL SKILLSEssential criteria*Problem solving, decision making and analytical skills.
*Ability to analyse data and compile information for reports
Previous Experience, Skills & KnowledgeEssential criteria*Ability to organise and prioritise workload
*Proficiency in diary management and coordinating appointments
*Experience of writing formal minutes
*Independent, lone and team working skills
*Evidence of ability to be flexible and show initiative, sensitivity and enthusiasm to work
*Evidence of the ability to organise and plan complex events
Desirable criteria*Experience of adapting to, and managing, change
*Evidence of creating new processes or documents to assist team set up or functionality
