Full job descriptionA growing UK Managed Service Provider (MSP) is looking for an experienced Managed Security Analyst to join their security function.
This is a hands-on role sitting between the IT Helpdesk and SOC, requiring someone with experience across both IT Support and Cyber Security operations within an MSP or managed services environment.
The Role
*Monitor, triage and investigate security alerts across customer environments.
*Act as an escalation point for security-related issues from the IT Support team.
*Support incident investigation, containment and remediation.
*Work across Microsoft 365, Azure, Defender, Entra ID and other security tooling.
*Carry out customer security reviews and support vulnerability management.
*Support Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus assessments and remediation.
*Assist with customer security projects, including MFA and security tooling deployments.
*Work directly with customers to explain security issues and provide practical recommendations.
About You
*Proven experience across both IT Support and Cyber Security/SOC operations.
*Previous experience within an MSP, MSSP or managed services environment.
*Strong hands-on knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure, Defender and Entra ID.
*Experience with Cyber Essentials / Cyber Essentials Plus.
*Experience with security monitoring, incident response and vulnerability management.
*Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
*Confident communicating with both technical teams and customers.
