Hays are delighted to be partnering with a leading FTSE-listed organisation to recruit a Dutch Speaking Accountant. Your new role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in supporting the financial accounting operations of the Dutch business unit, ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of monthly, quarterly and annual reporting requirements. Responsibilities will include managing the period-end close process, supporting internal and external audits, assisting with budgeting and forecasting activities, processing supplier invoices and payment runs, maintaining financial records, reconciling bank accounts and general ledger balances, and ensuring the integrity of financial data. You will work closely with operational stakeholders across the business, acting as a trusted finance contact for financial management queries while contributing to projects and continuous improvements to finance processes, controls and reporting standards.
What you’ll need to succeed
*Fluent Dutch and English language skills, both written and verbal
*Previous experience within a financial accounting or management accounting role
*Strong knowledge of month-end processes and reconciliations
*Strong Excel and systems skills
*Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
*A proactive and detail-oriented approach to work
